I’m writing a new story. I say “story” and not “novel” or “novella” because it’s already longer than a short story and I have no idea what shape it will finally take. Part one is just over 8000 words and waiting for a good hard edit. I’m working on part two now.
I’ll post more details when it’s closer to finished, but for now I can say that it’s historical / supernatural erotica about a young woman and her priest. Don’t worry – there’s some incest thrown in for good measure and lots of other kinky fun. We’ll just have to see where it goes.
Today I received a message from Google telling me that they were going to begin censoring adult blogs on the Blogger platform.
Dear Blogger User,
We’re writing to tell you about an upcoming change to the Blogger Content Policy that may affect your account.
In the coming weeks, we’ll no longer allow blogs that contain sexually explicit or graphic nude images or video. We’ll still allow nudity presented in artistic, educational, documentary, or scientific contexts, or where there are other substantial benefits to the public from not taking action on the content.
The new policy will go into effect on the 23rd of March 2015. After this policy goes into effect, Google will restrict access to any blog identified as being in violation of our revised policy. No content will be deleted, but only blog authors and those with whom they have expressly shared the blog will be able to see the content we’ve made private.
Our records indicate that your account may be affected by this policy change. Please refrain from creating new content that would violate this policy. Also, we ask that you make any necessary changes to your existing blog to comply as soon as possible, so that you won’t experience any interruptions in service. You may also choose to create an archive of your content via Google Takeout (https://www.google.com/settings/takeout/custom/blogger).
For more information, please read here (https://support.google.com/blogger?p=policy_update).
Sincerely,The Blogger Team
Google has a history of doing things like this, so I’m not surprised.
I don’t have nude photos or videos on my blog, but if I did, I would be furious at this ridiculous move. I’ve seen complaints from a romance novelist who is afraid her book covers might trigger this kind of censorship even though the content of her books is “PG or PG-13”.
Her only choices are:
- to move her blog (which will likely result in the loss of followers, the loss of ad revenue (at least temporarily) and the loss of any search engine rankings
- to make her blog private. What the fuck good is a private blog? If I wanted a private blog, I’d keep a diary!
So, because this kind of prudish foolishness pisses me off, I’m moving my site to WordPress. So far, they don’t censor adult content and hopefully they will have the good sense to continue to allow adults to share adult topics, images, and videos. Last I knew, children did not run the Internet. Or maybe I’m giving tech companies too much credit.
If you want to move your Blogger blog to WordPress.com, it’s easy. I used information I found at 9seeds.com to move mine in minutes.
I received a nice review of one of my ebooks a few days ago. Thank you, Randy!
You can read it here, along with a sample of the book.
More stories coming soon, I promise.
I’m having a prolific weekend, even though I’m not one of the lucky(?) ones who was snowed in.
The Count is another story I wrote for an anthology. I don’t know if they ever published it or not. In any case, they didn’t ask for my story, so I’m publishing it for all of you.
In this juicy story, Maeve meets Owen in a bondage club. Something about his demeanor intrigues her. When she finds out about his thirst for blood she decides to manipulate his desires and wins herself a new play toy.
I hope you enjoy it!
My newest erotica offering is a naughty little steampunky romp. Not as kinky and intense as my other self-pubbed books, this short story introduces us to newlywed Elizabeth whose husband has gone off to prove himself almost immediately after their wedding.
Three months later, lonely and frustrated, Elizabeth turns to a handsome Scotsman who claims to have a cure for what ails her.
Doctor Wolter’s Amazing Contraption is about 5000 words and only 99 cents! Get yourself something to warm you on a cold winter night and check out my other stories too.
No matter what holiday you celebrate this time of year (or even if you don’t celebrate one at all), I hope you have a safe, warm, and happy December.
As my gift to you, my two ebooks will be on sale for 99 cents each this week on Smashwords
. Buy them for yourself or a friend. The sale ends Saturday, December 15.
And for those of you who use Second Life, that quilt in the photo is just one of my designs. I have a few more for sale on the Second Life Marketplace
for only 10L. They make great gifts and are perfect to decorate your home for the holidays. Only 1 prim each!
My second e-book, Lipstick, is now out on Smashwords.
This is the first time I’ve written a non-consensual story. It was a bit of a dare from a friend just to see if I could bring myself to do it. Lipstick started out as just an exercise in depravity, but I decided to clean it up, do a decent edit, and put it up for sale.
In this non-consensual story a young woman’s red lipstick and revealing outfit incite her father to hold her captive. After taking her virginity and subjecting her to a variety of humiliations, including video taping her on the toilet after a forced enema, he sells her to his friends for a bound gang bang.
But one young man in the group shows her kindness. Will he be her savior?
Combining incest, water sports, a gang rape, and more, Lipstick is not for the faint of heart.
I hope you enjoy it!
